Ok, so this dress is pretty incredible.
And it’s not every day you get to dress up in a black, floor length gown, wear crystal earrings, and pretend like you’re on set for Vogue (!!) Although I totally felt like Serena van der Woodsen in this black beauty, the price tag is definitely more affordable than the items you’d find in her closet 🙂 SO, if you’re looking for a stunner to wear to a formal event this year, then THIS is your dress. (It runs about a size small so if you’re normally a small I’d go with a medium!).

And, you can’t wear all black without pairing it with smokey eye makeup. Here are the products I use to create this moody/shadowy look:
THE EYESHADOW:
Urban Decay ‘Naked Palette’. Inner lid color: Sin + Sidecar. Outer lid color: Dark horse. Outer crease and above eyeliner: Creep. Then, blend with finger.
THE LINER:
NARS ‘Stylo’ Liquid Eyeliner – superfine tip, easy to apply with just a few strokes. I use this on the top and bottom – but only go to the middle on my bottom lid. This liner is great for drawing mini wings at the creases of your eyes. I said mini though – don’t over do it!

THE MASCARA:
Maybelline ‘Falsies’ Mascara – the only kind I use! I use about 50 layers of this. Kidding, but not really. I LOVE how the brush is curved because it fits the shape of my eyes perfectly. I curl them a little bit with a lash curler before applying.

What’s your favorite smokey eye palette to use? And I wanna know, what event you could wear this black tie beauty to this year?!

I absolutely love your blog! I have a question about undergarments when it comes to wearing clothes that show off your back. I am petite as well and let’s be honest, in the boobs department I was not blessed. Haha however, I am a little uncomfortable wearing shirts without a bra. Could you give me tips on what you do? Is there this magical no back bra? If so, please share your knowledge! Thank you! Love the new site btw! Very beautiful!

Hey Stefany! When I wear backless dresses/shirts I just wear a ‘sticky bra’ from Target! Really easy – small sizes available and stays on great 🙂 Thanks for reading!!
