I never worried too much about what products I used on my skin until recently.. And by recently I mean until I noticed that wrinkles started at age 24 (yay). If you’re lucky enough to have no signs of aging yet, it’s still never too early to start protecting your skin and maintaining a healthier lifestyle in general. This year I started using a few products to help exfoliate, clean, moisturize, and repair my skin. Read about what I’m using and my #1 skincare tip below!

1. The first step is exfoliating & cleaning my face. I use this hydrasonic dermal cleansing brush that keeps my skin soft, reduces oiliness, and cleans 14x better than cleansing with your hands (geeeeez). The facial brush definitely gives my skin a healthier glow & you can also use it on your body! I use this 1 to 2 times a week and I can’t believe how much brighter and clearer my complexion has been from just a few months of using it (twice a week is recommended). The brush comes with a kit that includes:
  • A Sensitive Skin Facial Brush (I use this one for my face)
  •  1 Normal Skin Facial Brush
  • 1 Body Brush (bigger for more coverage)
  • 1 oz. Renewal Facial Cream Cleanser (put this directly on your skin and use the brush + water to distribute it throughout your face)
  • .35 oz. Day/Night Daily Moisturize (small size of my daily moisturizer)

Use code LOVELY20 for 20% off all products at LoxaBeauty.com

For nights when I don’t use the hydrasonic brush, I just use this renewal facial cream cleanser and water to wash my face and remove residual makeup. I like the scent and it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin. I wash my face twice a day – once in the morning in the shower and at night before bed.
2. The next step is using an anti-aging serum. I use this youthful boost serum on my just-washed skin once a day, it works to help restore your skin to make it look & feel younger.
3. The last step is a good face lotion! I’m using this daily moisturizer with SPF 30. It’s a sunscreen, helps prevent wrinkles, and a moisturizer all in one. I usually use this twice a day – once in the morning before applying makeup & at night.

Aside from the products I use for my skin, my number one tip for a healthy complexion is SLEEP. Good sleep habits are essential for a clear complexion. Getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night helps to restore your skin’s balance, promotes collagen production, and cell repair..and if you don’t get the right amount of zzz’s, your skin will definitely show it. ALSO – try to sleep on your back, constant pressure against your pillow can cause wrinkles and set in lines.

My other tips for smoother, brighter, and healthier skin:

-Always wear SPF, even in the winter! I never use anything less than 30 SPF if I’m going to the beach/pool.

-Drink lots of water!

-Eat foods that are good for your skin:

*strawberries decrease the appearance of dialated pores

*lemons are a natural disinfectant, astringent, cleanser, and skin lightener.

*oats relieve dryness and restore moisture and help heal minor irritations

*chicken

*oysters

-Working out boosts circulation which gives your skin that extra glow and supports the production of collagen. Plus, all the sweating cleans out your pores.

-Avoid crash diets. If you lose weight too fast you’re probably shedding water, not fat, and that loss tends to first show up in your face.

-Say no to stress – the affects of stress can accelerate aging by 10 years.. (I know, when I read that I started stressing out too..)

That’s just about everything I have on skincare for you all! Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below and make sure to use code LOVELY20 to receive 20% off these products at LoxaBeauty.com through September 20th! Also – I just asked my mom if she had any extra tips to throw in for skin anti-aging and she just said “drinking wine so you don’t notice the effects of aging”… LOL, well said. Thanks for the tips! I've been wanting to get some sort of exfoliating brush, I'm 22 and I'm already seeing some wrinkles around my eyes 🙁
