April Things 4.10.17

Here’s another spring-time outfit from my partnership with the Sanctuary collection at Macy’s: a ruffled off the shoulder top, white jeans, and neutral heels (top comes in white too!). I wore this out to breakfast last week with a suede jacket – and I also tried it tucked into high-waisted shorts and it’s so cute.

It’s been about two weeks since we had to move out of our house because of the fire, and even though living out of a suitcase is getting pretty old, spending the weekend at my parent’s house was so good. I love third wheeling with them haha. Sometimes in this crazy world of dating and listening to my friends talk about their relationship problems, I really question if men and women are actually compatible. We are so different. I swear half of being in a relationship with someone is just learning how to not drive each other crazy. But, watching my parent’s relationship – especially  this past weekend – has been so refreshing.  They’re just such a good team. They do everything together, make decisions together, and know how to avoid pissing each other off, which is key (except when my dad shoots birds from the kitchen window – if you saw that on snapchat, mom was pretty pissed). They’re very different people, but they know how to make it work. They respect and understand each other, give more than they take, make each other laugh, and have built their dream together.

We’re given so many little blessings in life that we really just don’t think about sometimes. I’m so thankful for those two and the love they’ve built our family around! Happy Monday 🙂
