I’m in my comfort zone when I’m wearing a dress. This one is a little less tailored and more hippie-flower-child than I’m used to, but it’s fun to switch it up from your typical style once in a while. The layers of comfortable fabric and the rich maroon color is so unique. This would be a gorgeous dress to where to any upcoming bridal/baby showers – it’s wintery enough for the cold weather but it still has a touch of a springy vibe. A dark berry lip and floppy wool hat pulled this effortless outfit together!

I had so much fun yesterday in Chicago shooting for the T + J Designs spring/summer lookbook – I previewed a few of their new items on my Instagram yesterday, but I’ll be letting you guys know when the new items start coming in (they are having a little sale right now too)!  I drove straight from Chicago to visit my grandparents in Michigan for the weekend. Things have been so busy lately that I’m more than ready for a relaxing weekend enjoying their company and and catching up on some blog things.
