This past weekend I was in New York to meet and discuss ideas for spring/summer with some of my favorite companies – one of them being Monica Vinader now sold at Nordstrom – a classic, dainty, and luxury jewelry line based in the UK. All of her pieces are so perfect for Mother’s Day gifts and I picked out this & these during my trip!
I usually like to stay in the Soho area when I’m in New York, but this time around I stayed at a Bangtel in Midtown East to explore a different neighborhood! Bangtel is a Chicago based company that I miiight be partnering with on a pretty cool project that’s in the works – so stayed tuned! I stayed at this quaint 3 bedroom Midtown that was right on the cutest corner with a little flower market and grocery. It was also within walking distance from 5th Avenue and Central Park – so it was awesome being so close to such an iconic part of town. I love the Bangtel concept because unlike a hotel – they have a washer & dryer, full kitchen, and plenty of room. It’s the perfect idea for if you’re traveling with a group and need multiple beds and/or if you’re going to be in a city for an extended stay. After a few long days of meetings it was so nice to grab a bottle of wine, cook a meal and stay in to watch the basketball tournaments. A couple other gems I found over the weekend- Sweet Chick for Brunch and Terra for a candle lit dinner at a wine bar!
I’m staying in a Bangtel in Chicago for the next week-or-so for a pretty depressing reason, but I’ll talk about that sometime next week when all of that situation settles down. Life – is – crazy – people. I’m telling you the unexpected twists and turns never end! Hope you’re all having a great week so far – and don’t forget to RSVP for my shopping event tomorrow night at Neiman Marcus in Oakbrook, IL if you’re local! Info is all in the image below 🙂 xo
