In FASHION, TRAVEL

If you were following along via Instagram stories over the weekend, you might’ve seen a little behind the scenes action from the 10th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event at Liberty State Park no Saturday. Conner, John, and I were lucky enough to enjoy the amazing experience of the elevated VIP tent at the match.

We took a quick ferry trip from Lower Manhattan over to Liberty State Park in Jersey City for the event. The backdrop of the polo match was absolutely breathtaking with a clear view of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty! I’ve been to a couple polo matches back in Kentucky, but nothing ever quite like this.

Neil Patrick Harris hosted the event and join us up in the VIP tent during the match. Jordan Fisher sang the national anthem and Alicia Keys performed post-match and sang “Empire State of Mind”, naturally. Other celebrity guests in the VIP section were: Kendall Jenner, Nicole Kidman, Nicky Hilton, Luke Evans, Priyanka Chopra, and Kerri Russel. (Nicole & Neil strategically placed in the background of our selfie 😉 ).

We were treated to a buffet of salmon, burrata, beef tenderloin, lobster tacos and, of course, and of course, free-flowing Veuve. And of course we had to walk out on the field to ‘stomp the divets’ and walk through the beautiful field surrounded by picnic blankets and gorgeous floral displays. Getting an up-close view of Nacho Figuera didn’t hurt either – the Argentinian-born player on Team Veuve Clicquot who lead the team to a victory against Team Liberty Comet.

I wore the Garden Party Floral Sweetheart Dress from Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James collection – her preppy, classic, and southern brand was very on-brand for the polo classic!

Here are a few other great summer styles from Draper James:

And these are the wedges I’m wearing.

I wore several pieces gold & diamond pieces from Monica Vinder, below are my favorites:

The entire experience was incredible and I already can’t wait for next year! Just for reference – I ordered a size 0 in the dress and had the straps and bodice taken in about an inch! Thanks for reading & enjoy the rest of your week  guys 🙂
