One of the best things about being a girl is the fact that we can wear dresses. There is nothing more simple and feminine than slipping into a dress before a night out and not having to worry about putting an entire outfit together. Above I’m wearing a navy flocked velvet Love Ady dress. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands for petite dresses – the fit is perfect in both the bodice and the length! Because it’s so new, I couldn’t find the link to purchase on Nordstrom rack’s website but hopefully it will be up soon! I usually wouldn’t think to pair navy with black, but this dress changed my mind about that rule. The dark velvet pattern looks stunning against the rich blue fabric and makes an elegant yet bold statement – ideal for a night out to the ballet or symphony (both of which I can’t wait to attend this winter in SLC). A classic pair of pointed toe pumps and black pashmina complete this date night look.
