Monica Dress (XS) | Frye Tori 2 Band Sling Heels (taupe)
Keeneland is one of my favorite events to get dressed up for. I spent a while this year shopping online for dresses for it and had the hardest time finding anything I liked. Anyone else agree that there are some weird trends going on lately? My sister and I have been complaining about it – I want something other than off-the-shoulder, shoulder cut-outs, or a plunging v-cut down to my belly button..
My friends at J&J Petite sent me a list of their new arrivals and it had this adorable blue & white striped dress on it and I knew right away it was the perfect dress for the races! I love everything about it – the ruffles, the fabric, the cross over slit – and was relieved to find something original and classic looking. I didn’t have to get a single alteration either (I’m typically a size 00 and 4’11” for sizing reference). I thought this dress would also be a cute option!
We spent all day Saturday betting on the horses, drinking bourbon cocktails, and catching up with old college friends at the race track. Frye hosted an event at the track that day too, so it was awesome to get to hang out with other bloggers in the area and to see what’s coming out for spring/summer. Just an FYI for all my Lexington girls – Frye is opening their store tomorrow at The Summit at Fritz Farm!
Here’s a full dress shop I put together today of some of my favorite places online to shop for special occasion dresses that are all pretty affordable (with a few exceptions in here):

Ha! I LOVE the off the shoulder stuff that’s in right now but it’s not appropriate for the office I work in and my weekends are spent in workout clothes so what’s the point? Love the dress!
Love this! Wish I would have found it before I went to Keeneland!
For reference, what size do you normally wear in Missguided?
