In TRAVEL

So I know when I say I’m starting a style blog, the first thing that comes to mind is clothing and fashion.  I wanted to make Lovely Little Style a bit more personal and incorporate little details of my “life-style” whether it be places I travel, people I meet, events I attend, designs I love, an interesting read, or even just some pretty photography!

This past weekend Chris and I went on an adventure to Zion National Park (5 hours south of Salt Lake). Being new to the west, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible scenery and perfect weather. We stayed at this cool pueblo-style ranch in a community of homes designed to look like early Native American houses.

The house definitely looked pueblo-like on the outside, but the 8-head shower and drop down flat screens on the inside made us feel like we were staying in a 5-star hotel!
Of course Chris found the bb guns less 10 minutes after we got there. ( b&w lulu lemon shorts.)

We spent the whole first day four-wheeling in the red rock sand dunes. I couldn’t believe how green the landscape was considering we were in a desert. We drove through plants I had never even seen before – the greenery looked turquoise. The view was breathtaking when we got out to the middle of the desert where all you could see was orange sand and blue skies. The colors looked neon!

We came to a cliff in the dunes that literally looked like the Lion King or something. This stuff really is how it looks in the movies!

At night we had steak and vegetables outside on the patio – prepared by this grill master. The temperature was perfect for relaxing and enjoying some yummy food. We had to drink a ton of water after being out on the four-wheelers all day and to prepare for a long day of hiking.

We woke up super early the next morning to get a head start on the hike. I know this is a style blog people but I had to pull out the fanny pack for the trip. It saved the day. This view definitely takes the cake for best morning coffee experience! (Purple lulu shorts)

The hike was an amazing experience and such a good workout, definitely feeling it in my legs today! I guess I can check this one off the list: first REAL hiking experience in Utah. Thanks for reading lovely people 🙂
