Tonight I’m talking about what’s in my makeup bag this fall and a few small steps I’ve recently added to my makeup routine using the Sigma Beauty collection. I typically stick to similar shades and the same look for my every day makeup: a little bit of contouring, shimmery eyelids, bold liner & lashes, and a berry colored lip. I’m taking you through 2 steps in my makeup routine that I’ve been doing forever – and 2 new one’s I’ve been experimenting with!

[Eyes]
I’ve always done my eyeshadow the same way – a champagne colored shadow covering my whole lid with a touch of gold shimmer to highlight the inner lid and a dark shade to shadow the crease. I love this Sigma eyeshadow palette because the colors are neutral and perfect for fall. It includes two of the perfect colors I need to create my go-to look. I used the individual eye shadow compact in ‘Fawn’ over my entire lid and then used the light tone I’m pointing to below to highlight the inside of my lid & the darker tone in the palette to add a shadow to the crease.

[Brows]
I’ve never been much of a brow person when it comes to makeup. I know it’s really in lately, but I had someone fill them in for me a while ago and it looked absolutely terrible (they were waaay too dark). So ever since then, I’ve avoided doing anything to them other than plucking. I decided to give it another shot when I saw an old friend I hadn’t seen in forever and she looked ah-mazing with her brows filled in. She said she started doing them because it gives your face a more symmetrical appearance. So.. I thought I’d give it another shot. I’m no professional when it comes to this step, but what I’ve been doing is lightly filling them in with this light colored brow pencil from Sigma (comes in other colors) and using multiple strokes to mimic the look of tiny individual hairs. Then, I use this brow brush to blend and shape my brows. It just fills in my natural shape a little more and I think I’m liking how it looks!

[Highlighter]
I’ve been trying out a few different highlighters lately because I love the look of a shimmery finish. I’m really liking how this shimmer cream looks and stays on my skin. I use just a little bit of it to highlight my cheekbones and I’ve also been testing a little bit of it out down the center of my nose and over my cupids bow before applying lipstick. Love this blush color linked below with it!

[Lips]
I always love the look of lipstick lined with lip liner. It defines the shape of your lips and adds more dimension. This lipstick in ‘Dahlia‘ is the perfect shade for fall – a cool raspberry with a matte finish and moisturizing effect. I lined it with ‘Carnation‘ – love this combo!

Comment below with any questions you have! And I’d love to hear about any makeup tips or tricks you guys live by. My outfit is linked here – I’m wearing an XS in the dress, these heels are my favorite (I have them in a few colors!), and this is the coziest cardigan for fall:
Today’s post is in collaboration with Sigma Beauty + rewardStyle. As always, all opinions are my own.
Your makeup looks gorgeous! I love the shadow combination.

Hi! Could you also share your eye liner/mascara secrets?! I’m a 9-5 gal and by 5pm my eye make up is halfway down my face. Thank you!
Thank you for the tips! As a blonde, I can relate to your mention of dark brows… same here! I hate doing it because sometimes it looks too dark! Anyway, I will have to try out that pencil. 🙂
