Putting together outfits to wear to work everyday can be a challenge. Luckily, I have a job that allows me to wear pretty much anything that’s ‘casually cute’, so I mix things up with prints, solids, skirts, pants, blazers, and an occasional dress. For work pants, I find my favorites at Old Navy. They have the cutest printed ankle pants & colored chinos (and the fit is awesome). Two of my favorite pairs right now are these & these].
To me, the most flattering outfits are the ones that highlight your natural waistline and show off your features, but keep it conservative at the same time. Invest in a few ‘professional’ dresses to wear to work, an interview. Wear them with a blazer/cardigan and heels/ flats to dress it up or down.
If you’re working on putting an outfit together for a job interview, make sure to do some research on the company first. There’s a big difference in what you should wear to a fashion/design/retail interview as opposed to a finance or law position. But when in doubt.. dress up! Also, don’t go overboard with the hair and makeup. Keep it natural.. but not too natural. A classic red lip is always a sign of confidence 🙂 Bring a notebook to take notes and record and important information but keep it professional! Your Kate Spade polka dot planner is not the best idea in this type of setting. The most important tip is to wear something you feel comfortable! It will help with your confidence and the interviewer will notice.. Good luck!
