What a weekend! The 4th of July will always been one of my favorite holidays. I used to think getting together with my mom’s side of the family for the 4th was fun when I was little, but every year we get older it gets better. It was a perfect low key weekend with the people I love.

I’m so happy to have a full week in Chicago before I fly off to the next trip! I’m spending the new few days getting my house back together after moving back in and doing some fun Chicago-summer things with my girlfriends (that’s Caitlin of PublicLivesSecretRecipes.com twirling above!). My maxi skirt is from Skylar Belle – so cute to wear to summer parties & events this season!

-Taste of Chicago (July 6-10 in Grant Park)

-Navy Pier Fireworks

-Beach Volleyball at North Ave Beach

-Kayak the Chicago River

-Windy City Smokeout (BBQ and country music festival July 15-17 in River North)

-Drinks at Drumbar Rooftop
