I got back home late last night after such a good weekend in Kentucky. It was Big Blue Madness weekend – which is a huge deal for Kentucky Basketball fans (this intro video gave me chills!) – so the city was packed. I loved catching up with so many of my old teammates and friends from school. I had such a good time catching up with my best friend Lindsey over the weekend. Back when we were cheering, we’d always talk about how we couldn’t wait to come back and visit for games and Big Blue Madness as alumni so we could see the madness from the other side of the court (and wear cute alumni shirts, get cocktails before at the Hyatt bar connected to the arena, and actually get to eat the ice cream at Rupp Arena instead of watching people eat it in the stands.. you know, the little things haha). It was so bittersweet finally getting that experience, leaving on Sunday was so hard! (PS – it was so awesome getting the chance to meet so many of you girls who read my blog in Lexington – thank you so much for coming up to say hello, you made my weekend!!)

I was expecting to come back to chilly fall weather in Chicago, but the weather is still so beautiful here – sunny and 80 degrees in the middle of October, it’s crazy! This transitional outfit idea is great for if you live somewhere warm but still want to dress for the season. I love the pink and white color combination and how the open toe booties turned this into a fall outfit.
