I wore this outfit to lunch and on a walk through the neighborhoods downtown where we came by this charming pink house (that’s for rent, so tempting!). Maxi skirts can be tricky for short girls to pull off, especially when they’re made for 5’8″ women wearing heels. The trick to making them work on a 4’11”-ish frame is to – 1: make it high waisted and 2: throw on some wedges. If you’re petite, I’m sure you’re used to tip #2 by now.
There are so many ways to customize this elegant and feminine look. Pair it with your favorite sweater, a tied up chambray shirt, or a boxy crop top like I did here. Accessorize by wearing a belt around your waist (like this), a cute patterned scarf, or some pretty jewels like I am above.
