Hey guys! This week in New York has been a busy one so far. Last night Conner and I went to the Knicks game with his family at Madison Square Garden and tonight we have reservations at Laconda Verde for dinner 🙂 I spent all day in back to back meetings in Midtown, and yesterday I shot fall/winter outfits around the city. I had the coolest meeting today at the WWD office on 5th Avenue. I’m working on a holiday gift guide collaboration with them, so stay tuned! It was such a surreal experience to meet with the team and talk about our partnership.
I couldn’t wait to share this coat with you guys. A Canada Goose parka from Nordstrom has been on my wish list ever since I moved to Chicago. In the past I’ve settled for whatever I found in the moment when I needed a heavy coat. This is my first ‘big girl investment‘ when it comes to outerwear, and now I’m actually excited for the cold weather to hit Chicago.
For all my petites, this is the best Canada Goose parka for women 5’4″ and under: The Rossclair. I’m wearing a size XXS in black. I tried on a bunch of different styles, and this one fit my body type perfectly. The waist is defined, so my petite frame doesn’t get lost in the bulk. The drawstrings on the inside allow you to cinch the waist in as much as you’d like. I love the slim fit and where the parka hits on my thighs. It’s feminine and clean without being too bulky. Chicago gets COLD. And so does New York. So between these two cities, I needed a heavy winter staple for the cold temperates. The down-fill insulation, hidden two-way zip closure, fleece-lined hidden snap pockets, and back zip vent guarantee warmth without having to sacrifice style. I love how the coat looks styled with these $29 leather leggings and Nikes, but also dressed up with knee high boots and jeans. No need to layer under the jacket – you can wear a t-shirt underneath and still be toasty!
