Happy first day of spring, finally! If you guys were following along last week, you probably saw my home takeover I did with @LiketoKnow.it.home (see it here). Today I’m going into a little more detail about my living room decor and showing you a few easy ways to update your home for spring!

1. A spring-scented candle

This hobnail candle brings a little antique charm into the room and the ‘beach plum’ scent reminds me of warmer weather. Here are a few other spring-y candles I have spread throughout the house that remind me of warm weather / spring blooms (the huge pink Voluspa one is on my desk!):

2. Copper Accessories

Copper is becoming the trendiest metal used in home decor. Add a touch of glamour with a fashionable copper accent to your space: a set of picture frames, vases in bookshelves, votives, a light fixture, or even a cool hanging pot.

3. Cherry Blossoms

Tall cherry blossom stems in a vase are the perfect way to bring spring inside. I put about 5 stems I bought from Pier1 in a vase on my console table – they add height to the room and a pop of pink!

4. Acrylic Accents

Acrylic is one of my favorite materials to decorate with. It’s so elegant and chic. Plus, it’s easy to match with other mediums because it’s clear! Ideas: a set of acrylic lamps, an acrylic/crystal chandelier, candle holders, a tray, or my favorite part of my kitchen – acrylic barstools:

5. Colorful Accent Rug

I found this one at Home Goods (it’s linked in the widget below) and the other ones are rugs that are spread throughout my house to add some color to the neutral theme!

5. A fresh bouquet

Always adds a pretty touch of color and a ‘live’ element to the room.

6. Layered Rugs

I know this faux fur rug isn’t necessarily spring-y, but the cream color works in any room all year round. I have this one layered in the living room and also one in my bedroom closet – it’s so soft and feminine I love it!

7. Printed, Textured, & Solid Pillows

A collection of fluffy pillows layered on the couch always makes the room instantly feel cozier. I mixed in printed pillows for spring, textured pillows, and some solids.

Thanks for stopping by to read & take a peek inside my living room! For the full home tour post – check this blog post from last week 🙂

Where did you get the quilted bed cover which is folded on the foot of your bed? ❤️
