It’s here!! So excited to finally share the reveal of my living room! I’ve been working on putting this room together since I moved in to my place a year and a half ago. Interior decorating has always been something that I really, really love, so I’ve enjoyed every minute of working on this.
I live with 3 roommates: my little sister Elena, Ford (a best friend from college), and Rachel! We live in a beautiful townhouse in downtown Chicago and we love it so much! It’s a 3 story greystone, so there’s plenty of space for all of us (we even have a 2 car garage and a cute back porch). It’s a long skinny building built right in a row with the other greystones on our street, so we don’t get a ton of light coming from the side windows. I chose the path of a lighter color palette to keep things light and airy! This is our favorite spot to relax together every night and for hours on the weekends.
At the bottom of this post I go through every item in the room and where you can find it or something similar online 🙂
Before we dive into all the pictures, I just want to take minute to thank you for all your votes when I was choosing the color of the sectional – you helped so much! I AM BEYOND happy with the ‘heavenly cinder’ fabric choice for our Jonathan Louis sectional, it’s so beautiful in person (if you weren’t following along yet, the other option was blush pink! Would’ve been v cute but not as classic). THIS SECTIONAL is my favorite part of the living room. You know how scary it can be ordering anything online – let alone a huge sectional – but I was so pleasantly surprised by this beautiful piece. It’s the Pia Sectional with the Pia Ottoman (and the throw pillows it comes with it). Not only is the color perfect and the design both modern and classic, but it’s the softest and coziest couch – everyone who sits on it agrees! Jonathan Louis is a family-owned business from Los Angeles that designs, makes and sells high quality (and affordable!) upholstered pieces like this at places like Macy’s, Living Spaces and ZGallerie [and Domicile and Darvin Furniture for my Chicago readers]. To find out where you can buy this sectional or other upholstered pieces at a great price, go here to find a retailer near you. To browse their products, click here + to request a swatch click here.
This post was created in partnership with Jonathan Louis, all opinions are my own.
Here’s a tour of the living room, enjoy!
I hope you find some inspiration for your own space through these beautiful photos shot by Aesthetiica. Thank you so much for all your nice comments – please leave some love below or on my Instagram picture I just posted! It really means SO much to me because it’s something I’ve put so much work and heart into!
(Many pieces in the room are from my good friend’s home decor boutique, South Loop Loft here in Chicago. She has the coolest collection of unique knick knacks, antique furniture, and all kinds of home decor treasures. I’ve linked all of the items in the room that came from her store. Stay tuned for an exciting update about South Loop Loft soon!)

Your living room is perfect! Do you own the place?
So pretty and glamorous! I think the chandelier is my favorite! Yes, that grey couch color is perfect. I love your Christmas tree color scheme too!
Wow, Olivia! So many things I love – the built-ins, the details on the feet of the couch, the chandelier, the SPACE!!!
This is absolutely amazing! You did a beautiful job on the room! What is your background in interior decorating? Did you do any training, or do you just have a great eye?
Love it!
Your entire home is my DREAM like can I move in!?!! Thank you so much for including so much detail in this post-your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed!
Love it Olivia!! Thanks for posting links! Can you please decorate my entire house?!😂
Wow, it’s so gorgeous! It looks so elegant but cozy at the same time. I’m from Denmark, so I’m used to Scandinavian interior design, so it’s always nice to see the American style 🙂
That sectional is to die for + those shelves. Your decor is perfect. I love how bright and cozy everything is.
