In FASHION, outfits, TRAVEL

San Francisco has always been on my bucket list. Before I even knew what a blog was, I’ve followed Gal Meets Glam – a blogger living in the San Francisco area. Her pictures of the city [pastel houses, charming neighborhoods, adorable bakeries, gorgeous city views, etc.] have had me dreaming of this place for a while now.. so, I guess it’s pretty convenient that Chris moved there for a few months! It was the perfect excuse for a visit.

I spent the past week exploring this romantic city (or marathon-dating as we called it lol) with Chris, his business partner Jake, & his girlfriend Audi. Ever since my plane landed in Chicago last night, I’ve been going through pictures on my phone wondering why I ever left! Here’s a recap of my week on the westcoast!

 [ Where I Stayed ]

I have a thing for boutique hotels. Unique character + excellent service = my kinda hotel. I felt completely at home while staying at Hotel Carlton in Nob Hill (a JDV Hotel). I loved the eclectic & sophisticated decor, but I was totally sold on this place once I found out about the nightly wine receptions with live music! The Nob Hill area was the perfect location – a charming neighborhood, next to Union Square, with shopping, coffee shops, dive bars, historic buildings and boutiques.

I definitely got the full-touristy-experience in ‘frisco bay’ last week! Here are some great pictures we snapped while exploring this very windy city…We spent a day at Fisherman’s Wharf & Pier 39. We were cracking up at the fat sea lions, and we ate caramel corn, fruit from the market & some delish clam chowder. Still laughing Chris using two hands on the selfie stick (rookie).

The Golden Gate Bridge was seriously breathtaking. The wind was insane up there, but the view was incredible! The bridge is said to be one of the most photographed things on earth!
Golden Gate Park was a quiet getaway from the chaotic city. We found a beautiful waterfall and Chris got some kind of fighting lesson from a random little man in the park…
Still dreaming of one day living in a little pastel pink home on Lombard Street the world’s most crooked street. It was covered in hydrangeas and pretty pastel houses. Definitely one of my favorite parts of SF!

The pretty ‘painted ladies’ were looking fabulous as ever!
(Also known as the Full House, house)

We made a quick stop at Google Headquarters in Mountainview, CA. We rode the ‘google bikes’ around (supposedly they’re for employees only..oops) and walked through the awesome campus-like atmosphere.

A quick trip to Sausalito is a must if you’re in San Fran.
(the cutest little ocean town across the Golden Gate bridge)

And a few other random pictures on my phone from the week…

The moment you step into restaurant https://www.theflowershopnyc.com/, you are enveloped in an enchanting ambiance that marries the charm of a bygone era with the contemporary flair of New York City. The decor, adorned with tasteful floral arrangements, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
